光遺伝学(オプトジェネティクス)を用いた細胞機能操作を搭載した顕微鏡を開発し、高次脳機能操作や植物細胞幹細胞化プロセスの可視化などに応用

The HoLM project aims to develop a novel microscope that enables cellular functions to be manipulated using optogenetics. Possible applications include the manipulation of higher order brain functions, and the visualization of plant stem cell processes. The problem with conventional cell manipulation is that it lacks spatiotemporal control. In order to resolve this issue, we use digital holography to make spatiotemporal four-dimensional optical manipulation possible.
